HÉLÈNE DUBOIS

Hélène Dubois was born in Spain, of Dutch ancestry. She has lived in Spain, The Netherlands, Italy and the United States and has travelled extensively through Europe, the U.S.A. and China.

 

Hélène has a master’s degree in history from Leiden, the oldest university in the Netherlands. The quote ‘The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there’ (from Tosh) is the motto that best describes her fascination with history and foreign cultures. How can one and the same happening be seen differently by different cultures or different generations? This query is a constant that inspires her writing.

 

Hélène is married and lives in a small town in The Netherlands. She loves sports, antique hunting, movies and pottering around in the garden. Hélène also likes to travel - that is where she gets her ideas.
